[TW; 2013] Living in Taiwan Series | Food P2 - Dongqu 東區

This is my part 2 food journey series!

Covering foods from partial Dongqu 東區, which is from Zhongxiao Fuxing 忠孝復興 to Zhongxiao Dunhua 忠孝敦化.

For your better understand of the term Dongqu 東區, it is an area makeup by 3 Metro Stations:

1. Du Hsiao Yue 度小月 (Outlet: 忠孝東路)

Their serving for the noodles was abit small so we ordered rice to prevent us for being hungry in the night. The BBQ pork was really sinful, but I enjoy it. The prices are above average but still reasonable for its reputation.

2. Frozen Garden 一番搾り

 Happened to know this place because of some taiwanese blogger. The interesting thing is, the shop only opens half a year, so we managed to visit it's taipei shop before the whole event ended. I did not really drank much that day but the taste was alright and the finger foods were just so-so. Keep a lookout on their FB page for the details on the location of their new shop; apparently they closed the taipei shop after the event?

3. Hello Kitty Sweets

Some people would say that this cafe is over-rated. But I beg to differ. I think it is a nice place that sells nice cakes. At least I have fun and joy while eating the cakes... and the cakes arent really a disaster  but slight above average cakes. It is my third visit to the cafe and Im okay going for the fourth time.

4. Double Content 鍋加鍋 (Outlet: 頂好店)

 

 

Good food with reasonable pricing! Got my Kimchi Steamboat at NT$100 with free flow of rice and drinks! I have no idea why but we got a NT$30 voucher... which means another round of steamboat soon!

5. Korean gourmet 明洞館 (Outlet: 東區－一館)

^^泡菜鍋 Kimchi soup NT$450

4 of us went their for dinner... because of the rain we manage to get a table; I think on good weather days booking is required. Based on Taiwan blogs, korean stars and koreans like to have their dinner over here... Anw, I really liked their korean food and the kimchi soup is really spicy. Just 2 dishes and all of us were full! (their prices exclude 10% service charge)

6. 東區

Cant really remember where is fried beehoon is located... it is along one of the main streets of 東區. Quite delicious!
