[TW; 2013] Living in Taiwan Series | Food P3 - Ximending & Taipei Main Station 西門町&台北車站

Part 3 of my food journey! This post will be mainly on Ximending 西門町 and Taipei Main Station 台北車站！

Ximending 西門町

1. 三吉外賣

My favourite eatery in Ximending, their deep fried chicken is a must try (although it don't look appealing on photos), and their side dishes are really good. Although it is abit pricey but I feel that it is worth the try.

2. Coke Forest 可樂森林 (Outlet: 西門町)

 

Ordered something like black pepper pork with cheese sandwich. Hmm, the food is okay but it would be better if they had chili sauce provided along with the tomato sauce. This set costed around $230/240 with coke provided. All their set ranging around NT$220~250? Rather reasonable for a western meal set.

Taipei Main Station 台北車站

1. 馨記桐花小吃

This is located near the Taipei famous tuition street. Abit disappointing meal, as i ordered belly pork meal, the pork was abit tough and it was not cut into small pieces, had some difficulty chewing it. Nevertheless the side dishes were fine.

2. TKK 頂呱呱（誠品站前店）

 

Taiwan localised version of KFC, we always visited this TKK outlet near the underground mall section of 誠品, I think is the K-section. Their fries are made from sweet potatoes, which makes the fries abit sweet compared to normal fries. Recommended is their corn soup, which was really good. The buns with the fried chicken is not normal bread bun but abit sweeter. Conclusion: They attempted to make everything abit more sweet than normal. Their fried chicken tasted drier than KFC but much lesser fats and more meat. I guess this is the reason why I will feel full after having a meal at TKK but feel hungry at KFC.
