[TW; 2015] Solo Backpack Series | Part 13 - Changhua City, Fan-shaped Train Garage

DAY10
Route Info: Chiayi Train Station > Changhua Train Station > Changhua Fan-shaped Train Garage > Lukang
(
嘉義車站 > 彰化車站 > 彰化扇形車庫 > 鹿港)
(Places in bolded in orange will be continued in another post)

1. Chiayi Train Station > Changhua Train Station > Changhua Fan-shaped Train Garage
Chiayi to Changhua, NT$184, 58mins, http://www.railway.gov.tw

It was rather easy to get to the fan-shaped train garage from the train station. Just spot for signs on your left (back facing the train station)

The most important thing is to find this underpass called the 民生人行地下道!
The underpass was rather safe, with CCTV installed; so no worries!

You will get to see the TRA logo signboard which writes Ministry of Transport and Communication.. and you are at the right place!

The whole walking journey took about 15-20mins. Alternatively, you can rent a YouBike, located opposite left of the train station, and cycle over there.

There will be a guard asking you to write down your particulars, so prepare your taiwan phone number and etc. After filling up your particulars, follow the signs and do not wander into areas you are not suppose to go! (It is a depot; not really an attraction for tourist to wander. Don't put yourself into danger.)

A must visit place for photographers and people who loves trains! It was slightly crowded that day and I wanted to take top view photos from the mini observatory but it was full with enthusiastic photographers. And my backpack was rather heavy, (all the preserved fruits fault), I was so tired to even bother about the top view photos. Regretted not putting my backpack at the lockers in the train station.

Shall share my Lukang trip on the next post! (another long post to go!)
